Entry Qualification

Successful Completion of Certificate in HRM (LAVTC) or
G.C.E.(A/L) Three Subjects or
G.C.E. (O/L) with a Minimum of Six Subjects in a
Single Attempt with Four Credits and Certified Work Experience with a
Minimum Period of One Year in any Field.

Course Aim
TThe main aim of this course is to enable the participants to develop systematic and rational knowledge about the theory and practice of HRM.

Intended Learning Outcomes
At the completion of the course, participants will be able to:

• comprehend the fundamentals about the theory and practice of HRM;
• explain the contemporary issues in HRM in today’s business management; and
• demonstrate a sound knowledge on how to deal with the contemporary issues in HRM.

Assessment Strategy
The assessment for this diploma is based on 40% continuous assessment and 60% exam. Further information will be provided in class. In order to pass the course, participants must achieve a minimum aggregate mark of 50% for the course. Every participant should have a minimum of 80% attendance to be eligible for a grade and certificate.
